Thing 12 - Net Library - WebCat

I viewed a couple of books on NetLibrary and I found the site to be easy to navigate. I saw mostly non-fiction, which is great, but I'd like to have some fiction to browse too.

Web Cat is another great site. Since I really enjoyed "The Kite Runner" I looked up "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Houssein. ...and guess what?... it's right here in our own OCL!!

Thing 10 - Technology Blog

I hate getting up in the morning. I mean I really, really hate it. I hate the sound of my alarm clock and every alarm clock I've ever had. I actually get mad at the clock for waking me.

I saw something on a technology website that caught my attention in this regard. It was a pillow that glows a soft light that get progressively brighter to wake a sleeper. When the sleeper lifts his/her head from the pillow a digital readout of the time appears.

Now I don't have any idea how it would be to sleep with a light inside my pillow and I don't know how I'd feel about being woken up by light in my face, but I'd be willing to find out more about the pillow. Right now, however its not available. I'm not sure what phase of production/testing it's in.

For now I'll continue getting angry at my alarm clock for waking me up. The funny thing is that I get even angrier at it when it fails to wake me up. Ya just can satisfy some people!
